The snow apocalypse is thankfully over and life is beginning to feel stable again after one hell of a week. Austin is in the 70’s now and we got our water back late last night after 5 days without it. Though the city is still under a boil notice, we are SO grateful!
Washing dishes with melted snow, using pool water to flush toilets, and showering at friends homes, was how we handled the situation.
We luckily didn’t have any of our pipes, or water heaters, break and flood our home.
My heart goes out to all those who are dealing with flooding and busted pipes. The damage done to thousands of homes and businesses across the state is devastating and beyond tragic.
And while many grocery store shelves are still empty and drinking water is hard to find and buy, supply trucks can now deliver.
Light at the end of the tunnel…
The silver lining in all of the chaos was the immense power and beauty of witnessing our community come together.
The kind, loving, and open-hearted people of Austin continue to blow me away. It’s one of the primary reasons we moved here 3 years ago.
My parents were visiting all last week and weathered the storm with us. Playing and snuggling with Wilder kept our spirits high. Seeing my parents with Wilder for the first time was priceless!
Wilder is now 10 weeks old and developing so fast. His favourite pastimes include drooling, blowing bubbles, whacking the dangling toys on his play gym, and napping in his stroller on our daily nature walks.
We found an amazing nanny to assist us with him and the pups throughout the workweek, so I can get back to coaching part-time.
I’m elated to get back to my work helping soul-powered entrepreneurs grow and thrive, while still having plenty of time with Wilder daily.
Work/life balance is my top priority now more than ever before.
P.S – BIG thank you to @livingwiththekingsburys for this incredible @lovevery play gym. Wilder loves it!
Much Love,
Amber Sears
