Being a mompreneur now has its own unique challenges. Long gone are the days when I could easily work late or add another big project to my plate.
All of my extra time and energy goes into loving and caring for my top priority, our little Wilder.
I had no idea how weaving motherhood and work would unfold. Taking care of an infant and breastfeeding is a 24/7 job, so adding a bit of work to the mix felt nearly impossible a few months ago.
But over the last few weeks, I’ve found my groove and am thoroughly enjoying being back in the driver seat of my business. I’m coaching four awesome entrepreneurs for the next 3 months.
I’ve learned how to be even more efficient with my tasks and revamped my boundaries to protect my time, space and energy more.
The work…
I’m working a total of 10 hrs per week and that feels like my max. I miss Wilder so much throughout the day when our nanny is taking care of him and love playing with him once I close my computer.
As much as my heart loves spending every waking moment with our son, I don’t think I would be happy as a full-time stay at home mom because I’m SO passionate about and fulfilled by my work with entrepreneurs.
Maintaining my coaching business outside of being a mom is super important to my sanity.
I definitely need something outside of the baby that is just my thing. Continuing to pursue my unique dreams and goals will always be one of my top priorities.
Finding a new work/life balance has been fun and rewarding. I know it will keep evolving as Wilder grows too.
Wilder is 13 weeks old now and growing like a weed. I love making him smile and he’s starting to giggle a bit.
I’m feeling more and more like myself as each day passes. Getting through the hormonal roller coaster of the 4th trimester feels like a MASSIVE win.
The Amber I knew and loved pre-pregnancy is coming back in a huge way and it feels amazing.
How did you navigate the 4th trimester? I’d love to hear from all the mamas out there!
Much Love,
Amber Sears
