I’m officially calling you up and giving you permission to follow your soul calling.
There is no time to wait.
Your soul’s calling is too important to be ignored or suppressed any longer.
Your heart is too damn powerful to be paved over by a job you hate.
I remember the pain of working jobs that had nothing to do with my purpose.
It was depressing, frustrating, annoying, and infuriating.
My soul yearned to do something that let me express, create, innovate, and serve something far greater than myself. Something that would challenge me and force me to grow in all the ways I desired most.
How I followed my soul calling…
Launching my health and wellness company, EpicSelf.com, at 22 years old was a big leap. But, it was a jump I couldn’t live without at least attempting. Regret is the worst kind of pain, and I wasn’t going to sit around and let life pass me by.
I believed that I could do anything I put my mind to and would figure it out along the way. Even if it meant failing a lot. But those “failures” were the greatest lessons and exponential growth opportunities.
I started out blogging, but I was so afraid to be criticized by others it used to take me three hours to write a post that I felt was perfect enough.
Now I’ve written over 900 blogs, 5,000 social media posts, and thousands of emails. I’ve trained myself to be a quick and efficient writer even though I never thought my work would include so much writing.
I began teaching Pilates and yoga fresh out of my teacher trainings in the highly competitive market of San Francisco.
I remember shaking with nerves en route to audition for studios, but I kept showing up and doing my best. Eventually, I got hired by the best studios and gyms in the city.
I created my first retreat and hustled for 6 months to fill it. And even though the retreat happened, no one from my network attended. It crushed me, but I kept going. My retreats now have waitlists, and they fill up sometimes a year in advance.
This growth doesn’t happen by chance.
It happens by taking risks. By believing in yourself and what is possible. By facing your fears, pushing yourself out of your comfort zone, and following your heart no matter what.
Entrepreneurship is the most sacred journey of them all. Will you answer the call? If you’ve been waiting for permission, THIS IS IT! ❤️🙏🏼🌍
